The SMC material is a composite material that is highly corrosion-resistant, lightweight, and more flexible, so it is widely used in several industrial sectors - for example: automotive, construction, and electronics. Based on this, its load-bearing capacity and tensile strength far exceed any acrylic or cast marble material, all while the total weight of the finished product is half that of marble of similar size.
SMC is a polyester sheet reinforced with fiberglass in its material, which reaches its desired shape at high temperature and pressure. Because of this, the finished material is less fragile, shock-resistant and heat-insulating at the same time, and does not deform even after years of use.
It is extremely easy to keep clean, there is no extra surface treatment layer that would be damaged over time by common cleaning agents.
The installation of this product requires a recessed preparation due to the height of the associated siphon!
